The MG Gloster Storm Series has finally been detailed on tape for the first time ever. This series includes Snowstorm and Desertstorm in addition to the already existing Blackstorm. There are only aesthetic customizations on these special edition models to set them apart from the regular SUV and offer a unique road presence. The 6/7-seat SUV is already famous for offering the latest comfort, safety and connectivity features. For now, let us take a look at the details of the newest members of the MG Gloster Storm Series.
MG Gloster Storm Series
This video arrives from Anubhav Chauhan on YouTube. The host has the two SUVs in the flesh. Firstly, he shows the viewers the Snowstorm. In line with its name, it has a white colour theme along with black elements. What I find particularly enticing are the red inserts at various places to enhance sportiness. The black colour on parts like the front grille, spoiler, alloy wheels, ORVMs, fog lamps and fender elevate the adventurous nature. Similarly, on the inside, the Snowstorm gets black upholstery with red stitching. It is available in a 6-seat layout.
On the other hand, the Desertstorm gets a golden colour. There are also some black elements like on the roof but they are not as prevalent as on the Snowstorm. Still, it gets some red inserts to highlight the exterior profile. These include the grille, ORVMs, roof rails and alloy wheels. In contrast to the Snowstorm, the interior of the Desertstorm has a black interior with white stitching and it is available in 6 and 7-seat configurations. That enhances its practicality. Both these get tons of features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS with 30+ features, part-digital instrument cluster, digital infotainment screen, smartphone connectivity, soft touch materials and more.
Specs and Price
There are no changes to the powertrains of the MG Gloster even with the Storm Series. It continues to get a 2.0-litre diesel engine with two states of tune – single turbo and twin turbo. The former is good for a decent 163 PS and 375 Nm, while the latter generates 218 PS and 480 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried out by a sporty 8-speed automatic transmission. The buyers get the option of choosing between either a 2WD or a 4WD configuration. The price of the Snowstorm and Desertstorm starts at an attractive Rs 41.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
