The MG eZS TVC has been revealed and an idea of how it is made is also shown here. It will be the second SUV from MG Motors for the Indian market.
MG Motors is going to launch the Hector SUV in India this month. The manufacturer will be launching another SUV this year itself, probably by the end of 2019. Any guesses?
At an event, MG Motors confirmed that their second SUV will be an all-electric SUV. Ahead of the launch, MG eZS TVC is out, actually the first one. It shows how the SUV is assembled and how it looks.
It has already been spied testing in India one or two times, near its plant in Halol, Gujarat. eZS is currently on sale in the Chinese market and looks exactly the same as the ZS (Conventional Fuel).

MG eZS SUV gets a 45.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The motor produces 150 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque. The total driving range for the India-spec version is 350 kms, whereas, for the Chinese market, it is 428 kms.
Manufacturer claims that the SUV will sprint from 0-50 kmph in just 3.1 seconds flat. The fast charger will help in charging the battery from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. Public charging stations are in development.
Features onboard will include the same iSmart touchscreen infotainment from the Hector, Over-the-air updates system, In-built SIM, AI-friendly features, Panoramic Sunroof, dual-zone climate control and much more.

It will enter the Indian market via CBU route, which will definitely take the prices up. As far as our estimates go, the MG eZS might be priced around Rs 30 Lakh. It is likely to go up against Hyundai Kona EV, which is going to be launched next month.
