The MG eZS electric SUV is based on the standard ZS SUV. It looks almost identical to regular ZS and is already on sale in China with a 150hp electric motor and a range of 335 kms.
It was just yesterday that the MG Hector was launched with much enthusiasm and fanfare in Mumbai and in no time, a fresh new electric vehicle from MG Motors has been spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time.
Late 2018, MG Motors had expressed its intentions that the second vehicle they launch in India would be an electric SUV. Last month, they announced that they would be bringing the eZS electric SUV to India by December, 2019 and now, a camouflaged test-mule of the same has been spotted testing on Indian roads.
The eZS is an electric equivalent of the conventionally powered ZS SUV from MG Motors and was showcased at the 2018 Guangzhou Motor Show. The eZS looks largely similar to the conventional ZS SUV in production form. However, there are some key differences which includes an exclusive blue paint shade, unique 5-spoke alloy wheels, eZS badging and a charging port under the front grille.

On the inside, the eZS gets a large panoramic sunroof and a touchscreen infotainment system. When launched in India, the eZS will also get the brand’s iSmart Next-Gen technology which is essentially the connectivity features we already saw on the Hector.
The eZS is already on sale in China and comes equipped with a 150 hp electric motor that can sprint the car from naught to 50 kph in just 3.1 seconds. The eZS also offers a driving range of 335 kms in a single charge. However, whether MG Motors will introduce the eZS with the same powertrain in India, is unknown as of yet.
