The electric sportscar is making headlines ahead of its India launch due to its drop-dead gorgeous looks
This has to be the first MG Cyberster in India even though the official launch hasn’t happened yet. The British car marque has been quite focused on EVs for the past couple of years. In India, in the mass market segment, it already offers the likes of the Comet, Windsor and ZS EV. Adding yet another electric car to the high end of the market, the Cyberster will be a great product. However, with an expected price tag of anywhere between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 80 lakh, I am sure only the top celebrities and influential people will have an eye out for this convertible sports car.
MG Cyberster Seen in India
This post stems from hottestcarsin.india on Instagram. The images catch the electric sportscar plying on the public road. In fact, it even bears a yellow/orange number plate with Gujarat registration. It is interesting to see how the owner bought it when it is not officially on sale in India. Perhaps, it could be an import. In any case, the visuals look beautiful. The front section carries the flowing bonnet line with sleek headlamps and an aerodynamically optimized bumper. On the sides, one gets to witness large 20-inch alloy wheels, creaseless door panels along with the two-door setup. Finally, the tail end boasts the LED strip just below the soft top along with a connected LED taillamp cluster which runs the width of the tailgate. I particularly like the lower end of the bumper with a diffuser. Overall, it is bound to make heads turn anywhere it goes.
On the inside, the premium quotient continues. One would definitely feel like sitting in a car which rivals the luxury products in this segment. That becomes apparent from the usage of top-notch premium materials and the latest tech and convenience amenities. While we will get to know about the exact details only at the launch, we can guess some of its top highlights:
- 2 Infotainment Screens and 1 Driverโs Instrument Cluster
- Super-sport Mode for Racing
- Powered Seats with Memory Function
- Alcantara Leather
- Retractable Roof
- Ambient Lighting
- Frameless Windows
- Premium Bose Audio System
Specs
Again, we will get to know the exact details later. However, in the international markets, the MG Cyberster utilizes a 77 kWh battery pack which powers two electric motors. This results in an all-wheel-drive configuration to ensure maximum performance. This configuration is good for a healthy 536 hp and 726 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Launching the car from 0 to reach 100 km/h takes a mere 3.2 seconds. That is supercar territory. However, with the inherent torque associated with EVs, such insane numbers become possible. Let us keep an eye out for more details about this EV in the future.
