There are a handful of professional aftermarket car modifiers and the Dilip Chhabrai-owned DC is a prominent player in the space.
Dilip Chhabria and his team at DC has come up with an innovative version of a Mercedes GLA. Famous for rendering cool and unique concepts of vehicles, DC is India’s leading automobile designer who has modified even some of the luxury products. This is one such example where a Mercedes GLA has been modified to such an extent that it is almost unrecognisable. Let us check out the details of the enhancements made to the compact luxury SUV.

The luxury compact SUV is equipped with a wide body kit. The front fascia is dominated by a sculpted bonnet scoop that ends at the top of the front grille, a sleek headlamp unit, multiple ducts on the bumper to aid the aerodynamics, sharp creases on the bumper and a large DC logo at the centre. The side profile makes it look like a unique car with no resemblance to the German carmaker. There are massive wheel arches at the front and the rear that sit significantly out of the body. The wide-body claddings on the sides are finished in black and sharp creases on the side body panels.
There is a large sunroof accentuating the luxury quotient of the SUV. The tail end features a massive spoiler that is roof-mounted but starts from the C-pillars. It looks like the SUV has been converted into a 3-door coupe with access to the second row from the front doors alone. The stylish and chunky alloy wheels look like the only element carried forward from the original model. The rear section is even more enhanced than the front. There is a massive LED light panel engraved across the width of the car. The bumper at the rear is unlike what you would’ve seen on any car.

The bumper features a colossal gap at the centre and two large ones on either side of the bumper. In addition to looking stupendous, these could aid in developing downforce for high-speed operations. At the lower end, the two chrome exhaust tips add an additional layer to the overall design texture of the vehicle. All in all, this is one of the most unique iterations of a Mercedes GLA you will come across.
