Maruti XL6 MoM also sales saw an increase of 60%
Maruti XL6 was launched back in August and the MPV has garnered a fair amount of sales. And so is the case with September sales report since the Maruti XL6 sold 3840 units.
Maruti XL6 sales for September saw an increase of 60% when compared to Aug’19. The six-seater premium MPV is only available in petrol engine and in two variants. It is a beefier version of the popular Ertiga.
Renault Triber is another such MPV which saw a good start of 4710 units for September. The budgeted car is priced cheaper than the other MPVs in its segment and is available in only a manual gearbox.

Maruti Ertiga topped the charts with over 6000 sales to its list. On the contrary, where the XL6 MoM sales saw an increase, the Ertiga sales were dropped down by at least 25%. The Ertiga is mostly acquired by the cab aggregators and comes in petrol, diesel and CNG options.

Now, talking about the Maruti XL6 then ut receives the same 1.5-litre, four cylinder, turbocharged, K-15 Smart hybrid, petrol motor and it gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a four-speed torque converter. Power figures stick to 103 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4400 rpm. It gets a BS6 compliant engine.
Also, the premium MPV is visually changed from its sibling, Ertiga. It now gets a beefier look with new headlamp design along with integrated LED Daytime Running Lights. The MPV sits on 15 inchers with same alloy wheel design but here it receives a blacked out treatment.
Dimension wise, the XL6 is longer by 50 mm, wider by 40 mm and gets an increased height of 10 mm. Also, the wheelbase is similar at 2740 as that of Ertiga but it is heavier by 10 kgs.

The interiors of the Maruti XL6 gets a blacked-out theme and the middle bench row is replaced by 2 captain seats thus making it a premium 6 seater MPV. It comes with Cruise Control feature which is a miss on the regular Ertiga. It gets the same touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features.
The Maruti XL6 starts at Rs 9.80 lakh and the top model of the car fetches to 11.46 lakh 9ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in Zeta and Alpha trims only.
