We keep coming across impressive aftermarket modifications which can make any vehicle look like any other car.
This is an impressive case where a compact car the size of a Maruti Wagon R has been converted into a Lexus LX500. Aftermarket car modification houses are extremely talented. They have access to a lot of information and spare parts. As a result, they end up creating exciting and compelling projects. This latest conversion is yet another example of what they are capable of achieving. Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota. Its vehicles are some of the most revered in many parts of the world. Hence, we understand the aspiration behind developing something like this. Let us delve into the details.

SUV Converted into Lexus LX500
This post comes from autojournal_india on Instagram. The visuals capture a unique contraption. In all honestly, one could be forgiven for thinking that this is a Lexus LX500 from the front. It is only if you are a keen automobile aficionado that you would recognize that this is a masterful recreation of the iconic Lexus. This is some foreign compact SUV which has been converted to make it look like a Lexus LX500. At the front, there is a colossal spindle-shaped grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps and fancy LED DRLs, fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper and a rugged skid plate. On the sides, there are stylish alloy wheels but the short wheelbase gives away its true identity.

Interior
There are a fair bit of modifications to the inside of this car as well. This includes a dual 10.25-inch driver’s instrument cluster and infotainment display, sporty red and black seats, ambient lighting, a unique replicate version of the dashboard layout of the original Lexus, wooden inlays, dual-tone steering wheel, a bench seating at the rear, etc. In essence, it is a 5-seater compact SUV which bears extreme modifications on the outside and inside. The total cost of this conversion is just Rs 2.5 lakh.

What We Think
This modification is quite impressive. You could see the depths into which the car modification house went. While such creations are great to demonstrate your creativity, they are not road-legal in India. Indian motor laws are strict about such things. Hence, we wouldn’t recommend our readers to go for such extreme modifications. If you take such a car out of the road, you are bound to get in trouble with the traffic police. Alternatively, we suggest going for mild modifications only. However, if this is your passion project, then you must ensure that you don’t use it for city commutes all that often.
