The demand for automatics in India has been on a continuous rise as more and more buyers are opting for the clutchless convenience of such vehicles even if it means shelling out a lakh or so extra. With the usage of AMT gearboxes, this price gap comes down to around 50,000 rupees, which is probably the main reason behind the popularity of this technology.
