Maruti launched the Vitara Brezza Petrol in the last week of February with prices starting Rs 7.34 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The bookings for the SUV are ongoing and the current waiting period is up to 1 and a half months in most of the metro cities.
Now, we can confirm that deliveries of Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol have commenced across dealerships. Brezza gets a new 1.5 Litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine. The diesel engine has been completely discontinued and there are no stocks of it available at dealerships.
The petrol engine produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The AT variants additionally get the SHVS mild-hybrid system for better fuel efficiency.

The prices of Brezza Petrol start at Rs 7.34 Lakhs going up to Rs 11.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It is available in its original variant list – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. In comparison to the rivals, Brezza is priced completely at par.
Features onboard include Auto headlamps, Auto wipers, LED projector headlamps, Cruise control, Steering mounted audio controls, Front and rear armrest, Rear AC vents, Leather-wrapped steering wheel and SmartPlay Studio Touchscreen Infotainment System with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Voice Assist.
Maruti Brezza losing out its diesel engine might create a hurdle for the company in the coming months. However, there are many reports strongly suggesting that their diesel engines might make a comeback in the near future. Brezza, Ciaz, XL6 and S-Cross will be the ones getting the engine.
