Our dealership sources have confirmed that most of them have exhausted the stock of Maruti Vitara Brezza Diesel and have started unofficial bookings for the Petrol version.
Ahead of the launch of Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol, the stock of its diesel version has started exhausting. While enquiring with a couple of dealerships, we got to know that most of them have already stopped the bookings for Brezza Diesel as they are out of stocks.
There are very few dealers that have a couple of units of the Maruti Vitara Brezza diesel left. Same is the case with Maruti Ciaz Diesel, for which, most of the dealerships have stopped taking further bookings.
Maruti is going to launch the Brezza with a petrol engine at the 2020 Auto Expo. A couple of dealerships have already started taking unofficial bookings for it. We are yet to get back on the booking amount details.

Maruti Vitara Brezza gets the FCA-sourced 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. The same engine used to power all the Maruti diesel cars till now. The engine is capable of producing 89 BHP and 200 Nm of peak torque. In the case of Brezza, it came with the option of a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT.
Ciaz was the first Maruti model to get the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. This motor is in-house developed and was also paired with the SHVS mild-hybrid technology. It was able to produce 94 BHP and 225 Nm of peak torque. However, Maruti is going to discontinue this engine as well.
Vitara Brezza will get the new 1.5 Litre K15B petrol engine. The petrol unit produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. It also gets the SHVS mild-hybrid technology. This engine will further come on the S-Cross Petrol as well.

Dealerships are offering huge discounts on Maruti diesel cars, as they cannot be sold after April. All their diesel cars are known for great reliability and fuel efficiency. In near future, we will see Maruti bringing in the diesel engine again but only for some cars.
