Drag races have become increasingly popular on YouTube to test the capabilities of popular cars.
In this video, a Maruti Swift is caught giving a hard time to the new Mahindra Scorpio N in a drag race. While the Swift is a hatchback, the Scorpio N is an SUV. That is not the only difference between the two products as the former comes with a modest petrol powertrain while the Scorpio has a powerful diesel engine. Mahindra Scorpio N vs Maruti Swift Drag Race
This drag race video has been uploaded by Yagya Sharma on his YouTube. The team is quite worried about the foregone conclusion. However, the final result shocks everyone as you would see in the video. For the first round, the Scorpio N is put in its sportiest settings, Zoom Mode. There are two people in the Swift and 1 person in the Scorpio N. As soon as the race begins, everyone is surprised to see the Swift driving almost side-by-side with the Scorpio for a long distance. Even after a few seconds, the Scorpio barely races ahead.

This dominant performance from Swift was appreciated by everyone who had already written it off before the start of the race. For the second round, the SUV is put in Zap Mode which is the normal mode. This time, the competition was even closer. The hatchback was almost parallel to the SUV for the longest. It is only after around 90 km/h that the Scorpio is able to sail ahead. This drag race displayed the power of the Swift which got the advantage of being light.

Specs Comparison
The Swift used in this video comes with a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that produces 83 hp and 113 Nm of peak power and torque and comes mated to a 5-speed MT. On the other hand, the Scorpio in this video has a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine belting out a whopping 175 hp and 400 Nm of peak power and torque. It comes with an automatic transmission.
