The year 2011 has begun and with no surprise all the automobile manufacturers have planned something or the other to offer to the ever curious Indian buyers. Apart from new launches from existing brands a number of global majors are also heading towards India which were otherwise unsure about our market.
The most interesting of all the launches from the sedan segment will be new Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire which promises to be shorter than the existing Dzire and will pull itself into the under 4 meter segment. Although the car is getting a bit shorter in length, as expected there would be no compromise done with the existing features except for the boot volume which is said to get reduced by a very small amount. Other than the length the width and height will also remain the same.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Price In India
With the reduction in the overall length the current excise duty will also get reduced from 22% to 10% bringing a cost benefit of approximately Rs.40,000. Since the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift’s launch is due for April-March 2011, the new Dzire is speculated to follow the same soon.
