Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch their new Ertiga-based XL6 6-seater, on August 21, 2019. The car has already been spied testing several times and we have almost seen the new design as well from the spy shots. While the standard Ertiga is sold through Maruti’s Arena showrooms, the XL6 will be sold through the Nexa dealerships. The latest development is that now we have information about the Maruti Suzuki XL6 variants.
According to a report by Autocar India, The Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be sold in two variants – Alpha and Zeta. Some of the key features that are included in both the trims are individual captain seats for the second row, full LED headlamps and LED daytime running lamps, LED tail-lamps similar to the Ertiga, an all-black interior, height-adjustable driver’s seat and a rear wash-wipe function. The SmartPlay Studio infotainment system will also be a standard fitment on both the cars.
As for the top-spec Alpha variant, it will get a reverse camera, leather seats and cruise control on the inside as additional features. On the exterior, the Alpha trim will sport a dual-tone colour scheme and black alloy wheels.

As for the design of the XL6, it looks quite bold indeed. The face is particularly very attractive with a more upright nose with a flatter hood. The grille has been redesigned as well and now features two chrome strips running through it which continue into the headlamps cluster as the DRLs. The headlamps unit itself has been redesigned and the car also gets body claddings all around with silver skid plates on the front and rear bumper. The doors and the tailgate will be carried on from the standard Ertiga but it will have better ground clearance along with roof rails as well.
