The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has become the leader in the utility vehicle segment by clocking the fastest 4 lakh sales in a span of just 3 years.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the sub-4-meter compact SUV, which has been the unchallenged leader in its segment has now clocked 4 lakh sales milestone in the Indian market. The compact urban utility vehicle which has been on sale since the last 3 years commands a market share of 44% year to date.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza sells an average of 14,675 units on a monthly basis. And this is despite the fact that it retails with just a diesel derivative in its portfolio. The said engine is a 1.3-litre unit capable of churning out 88 BHP of power along with 200 Nm of peak torque. It is paired as standard to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki had introduced an AMT variant for the Vitara Brezza last year itself. And according to the automaker, that accounds for about 20% of the total sales of this compact SUV in India.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza falls in-between the price range of INR 7.67 lakh to INR 10.64 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the likes of Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the recently launched Mahindra XUV300.

The Vitara Brezza comes with features such as projector headlamps, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, rear parking camera with sensors among others. Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce a petrol engine in the line-up of the Brezza soon. Not only this, the 1.3-litre, DDiS unit will be replaced with a new in-house developed 1.5-litre motor. There is a facelift of this model in the pipeline as well.
