Maruti Dzire Achieves 3 Million Production Milestone
Maruti Suzuki confirmed via a press release that the Dzire has crossed the magical number of 30 lakh units produced in 16 years and 11 months. You would be interested to know that it broke the 1 million (10 lakh) production milestone in 2015 and the 2 million (20 lakh) milestone in 2019. Thereafter, despite the gap in sales during the lockdown, it clocked a 3 million (30 lakh) production number in 2024. Not just that, the other Maruti Suzuki cars to have achieved this remarkable feat are the Alto, Swift and WagonR. Clearly, this is a testament to Maruti’s popularity in our market.

Under its hood, you will find a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid technology which generates a healthy 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The transmission duties are carried out by either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. This is the same mill which also powers the Swift. The mileage figures are 24.79 km/l with the manual and 25.71 km/l with the AMT. In the CNG guise, the power and torque outputs are 70 PS and 102 Nm. This mill boasts a mileage of 33.73 km/kg. The prices range from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh, ex-showroom.
