Maruti Suzuki launched its third product, S-Presso after the new-gen WagonR and XL6. The hatchback has a SUV stance and directly competes with the likes of Renault Kwid and Mahindra KUV100 because of its design. However, we compare the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso vs the Datsun GO and see how they compete on papers.
Datsun recently launched the GO with a CVT gearbox, which is a first in its segment. The S-Presso also comes in an automatic transmission but that is well suited by the AMT.

Datsun GO wins against the S-Presso anytime in terms of dimensions. However, due to its upright SUV stance, the recently launched Maruti Suzuki S-Presso gains the point in height with 1,564 mm as compared to the 1,507 mm in Datsun GO.

Datsun GO is the first in its segment to receive a CVT gearbox which makes the gear shifting easier and the driving experience a lot smoother. Both the cars get 5-speed manual transmission as standard and S-Presso continues with the AMT gearbox.

Both offer the same power output but it is the Datsun GO which churns out 104 Nm of peak torque. However, it is the Maruti S-Presso which gains a point because its engine is BS6 compliant and Datsun still gets the BS4 compliant engine.

As the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes in both manual and AMT gearbox, the prices for the same ranges for Rs 3.69 lakh to Rs 4.48 lakh and Rs 4.68 lakh to Rs 4.91 lakh respectively.
Similarly, the prices of the Datsun GO starts at Rs 3.32 lakh to Rs 5.17 lakh for the manual transmission while the CVT ranges from Rs 5.94 lakh to Rs 6.18 lakh for the CVT gearbox.
