Maruti Suzuki, the number 1 car manufacturer in India in terms of sales, has been going through a bit of a slowdown in the sales department but that does not mean that the company is not doing anything to up the ante. Maruti Suzuki has just launched the Ritz @Buzz limited edition in India which comes with 12 additional features over the regular Maruti Suzuki Ritz. The changes that have made their way to the limited edition are primarily cosmetic, the car is no different underneath as compared to the standard Ritz. The additional features will cost you Rs.14,990 and these will be available for the LXi, VXi, LDi and VDi models. The top end ZXi and ZDi models will miss out on the special edition features.
The additions to the Ritz @Buzz Edition include:
- Full body graphics
- Bumper protector
- Mud flaps
- Door visors
- ‘@buzZ’ sticker below the Ritz moniker at the rear
- Rear parking sensors with the display unit
Inside, the Ritz @Buzz Limited Edition gets leather seat covers and a leather steering wheel cover. Door sill guards, new floor mats and a new rear parcel tray are the other changes on the inside. The limited edition variant also gets a Nippon 2-DIN audio system which comes shod with 6 speakers and array of connectivity features which include USB, AUX and Bluetooth.
There are no mechanical changes done to the car, thus it will still be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine and the 1.3 litre Fiat Multijet diesel motor. Ritz has been a slow seller for the company and the company has been witnessing a sharp decline in the demand for the car. The limited edition is expected to bring the company some respite.
