In a rather unprecedented move, Maruti Suzuki has come up with a referral programme to boost the popularity of the Jimny. Basically, the carmaker has approached the Jimny owners to refer more buyers, in lieu of which they are being given Rs 10,000 for every conversion. It is noteworthy that the country’s largest carmaker has been using all tricks in the book to boost the popularity of the off-roader.

Huge Year-End Offers a Part of Stock Clearance Exercise
You would remember how Maruti Suzuki rolled out huge discounts on the Jimny in 2023-end. The year-end offers were to help the off-roader gain sales momentum, thereby enabling dealerships to clear existing stocks. The offer included a generous Rs 2 lakh cash discounts on Zeta variant and Rs 1 lakh on Alpha version. Moreover, customers were even given complimentary ‘Thunder Edition’ accessories kit. But these schemes weren’t a permanent feature.
However, our dealership-level sources inform us that the Jimny is currently available with benefits worth Rs 1.5 lakh. It looks like only time would tell if these offers, along with the referral bonus, would help the carmaker boost the popularity of the made-for-India 5-door Jimny.
