According to recent reports, the upcoming EV might be powered by a 60kWh battery. There will be two electric motors attached to the front and rear axles. Due to the compact size of the Jimny, it might be difficult for the engineers to pack the battery in a ladder on the frame. Currently, there are no ladder-on-frame EV SUVs. The company might use a double-decker structure and imitate Toyota’s electric Hilux truck. There is an issue with the ground clearance as well.
