Target Audience – The Millennials
The Ignis will target all those ‘first time’ car buyers who reached their adulthood around the year 2000. This means that the average age of a target customer would be 25-30 years. Various surveys show that Indian car industry’s growth will be driven by these millennials. Already, around 27% car buyers are under the age of 29 years. With this percentage projected to grow exponentially, Maruti is hoping to woo these prospective car buyers with a car that has been tailor made for them. Among the biggest highlights of this vehicle is its uber cool design. The Ignis has rather unique proportions. However, the design does carry the Suzuki DNA. The Ignis has been designed around the “Shape the Inspiration” theme. Basically, the Ignis is a sub-compact that seems to be hugely practical, whilst having all the traits of a lifestyle vehicle. Maruti Suzuki Ignis Review – Interior
The dashboard has clean surfaces and layered panels. Maruti has used a minimalistic approach towards the design of the dashboard. The highlight of the dashboard is the tab-like infotainment system that reminds us of the unit on the Merc A Class.
The speedo console is cockpit-like and is further complimented by futuristic-looking HVAC controls. Even the interior offers two tone color options. However, you get a black upholstery as standard. One can also opt to have body-colored accents for the interior.
