Maruti Suzuki Ertiga M Tour is targeted towards cab operators whose main concern is high fuel efficiency with most features on a tight budget.
Launched back in 2012, Maruti Ertiga instantly tasted its success by being the favourite MPV in the Indian market. From being a family car to being used as a commercial taxi, Ertiga catered the need of both. Now Maruti Suzuki Ertiga M tour has been launched at a price of Rs 7.99 lakh.
The particular variant focuses on the cab aggregators who want good fuel efficiency, features along with a budget pocket. The ‘M Tour’ trim is based on the Vxi variant of the car. It gets features like remote central locking, rear-ac vents, a 12-V power outlet, tilt adjustable steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVM’s with turn indicators.
The interiors of the car get dual tone interiors along with a 2-din music system with 4 speakers providing Bluetooth compatibility and steering mounted controls. Safety features like dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, rear parking sensors, child anchor seat points, seat belt reminder come as standard.

It gets projector headlamps with LED taillights. For better lighting inside the cabin, there are front and rear cabin lamps. It gets digital instrument cluster which displays average fuel consumption, average speed, gear-shift indicator and a digital clock.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga M Tour doesn’t get any changes under the hood. It will come only in the newly launched 1.5-litre petrol motor which is available with a smart hybrid. It generates a total power of 102 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque and is mated to 5-speed manual transmission. It returns an ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.33 kmpl.
Also, there are reports saying, a sportier version of Maruti Ertiga is expected to launch later this year. The Ertiga Sport will receive body kit all over, side skirts and a rear spoiler. Both front and rear bumpers are restyled and get hexagonal mesh grille at the front.
The car will sit on a new set of alloy wheels and will also sport a rear spoiler with the rear bumper may see a faux diffuser which adds to the appeal of the MPV. One more change we can expect it for the seat layout as the Ertiga Sport will come in 6-seat layout.

It will get all the features available in top end trim like automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and more. It will be priced slightly at a higher end than the on-going top variant of the MPV.
