The e Vitara is the first electric SUV from the Japanese car marque ever, marking its entry into the EV era
The crash test images of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara have surfaced. Suzuki might be late to the EV party but it has sure come all guns blazing. We already spotted the electric SUV in the production version at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi last month. The vehicle has already reached many international markets. In fact, we will even get the Toyota counterpart to the e Vitara shortly after the launch. Note that India will be the manufacturing hub for the EV. It will be exported globally from our soil. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Crash Test
The images have been going viral on the internet. By the looks of things, it seems like this is not a crash test by one of the prominent safety watchdogs like Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP. Rather, it is possible that these visuals stem from some internal tests by Maruti Suzuki. In any case, this is great news since the carmaker is evidently focusing on ensuring that the vehicle bags high points on the actual test at a later stage. Also, it becomes clear that the electric SUV was subjected to frontal impact, side impact, and other tests. It remains to be seen what the real score on the NCAP test is going to be.
