Prices for the updated iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS have been leaked online ahead of its official launch; sees an increase of INR 29,000.
Maruti Suzuki has just introduced a mid-life update for its premium hatchback Baleno in the Indian market. With this mid-life update, this hatchback now comes with a slightly altered exterior design along with some minor addition in its feature list.
The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets a revised front bumper design. In addition to this, the car also gets a new layout for its front grille. Other exterior modifications include the new design of alloy wheels on the top-spec Alpha variant. Furthermore, it now gets LED projector headlamps.

On the inside, the latest iteration of the Maruti Baleno comes with no visual updates. Changes inside the cabin include a new 7-inch infotainment system which offers Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity. IN addition to this, the hatchback now comes with new fabric upholstery for the seat and the doorpads.
The engine specifications of the Maruti Baleno remain the same as before. It continues with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre diesel engine. Transmission options remain the same as before.
Though the update for the standard Baleno is done and dusted, there is yet another iteration of this hatchback in Maruti’s portfolio i.e. its RS iteration. Images of the Maruti Baleno RS facelift leaked on the internet recently. Reports claim that the automaker is going to launch the same in the Indian market soon.

According to a leaked document, the prices for the mid-life facelift of the Maruti Baleno are going to be slotted at INR 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom). If this turns out to be true, then it means that the prices for the slightly spriced up version of this premium hatchback will go dearer by INR 29,000.
With this facelift, the Baleno RS is going to get some minor cosmetic update which will differentiate it from the standard iteration of the car. For instance, it is going to get new sporty bumper with large airdams. The engine spec will remain the same with the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit churning out 101BHP of power along with 150 Nm of peak torque.
