The upcoming hatchback will launch on Sept 30 and the car will get a BS6 compliant engine. Efficiency wise the expected mileage will be dropped a little.
The slowdown of the automotive industry isn’t stopping Maruti Suzuki to bringing in new cars like S Presso and Stingray Edition of the WagonR. The homegrown carmaker is all set to debut in the cross hatchback segment which already is dominated by the Renault Kwid.
Maruti Suzuki S Presso which is set to launch on 30th September has been spied recently in a blue shade and Rushlane here gives a glimpse of all colours that might be available with the hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki S Presso colours look magnificent and it takes inspiration from the Alto colour scheme tone. The digital rendering of the S Presso provides a colour range of Orange, Grey, White, Silver and Fire Red.

As far as the features of the upcoming car are considered then the top-spec trim is expected to see 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with voice recognition, steering-mounted controls, rear parcel tray, body-coloured outside mirrors, and door handles, and a 12V-volt accessory socket.
The hatchback will also carry latest safety features like Anti-lock Braking System, a driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders, a digital speedometer and a speed alert system will be standard across the range. However, the front passenger airbag will be standard on the top-spec VXi+ and optional on all other variants.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will use a 1.0 litre, three cylinder petrol engine which puts out 68hp and 90Nm of peak torque. It has an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 24.07 kmpl in the Alto K10 in its BS-IV form. However, the engine will be BS6 compliant and expect a drop in mileage figures. Transmission option for the same includes a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT.

It will launch in India on September 30 and is expected to be priced between Rs. 3.3-4.5 lakhs. The car will be competing against the Renault Kwid, Mahindra KUV100 and Datsun GO.
