Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the country’s largest-selling car maker, has announced a recall drive for its S-Cross premium crossover that was launched last year. The car maker will organize “service campaign” to scrutinize as many as 20,427 units of S-Cross for a possibly faulty brake component. The drive covers all the units of S Cross manufactured between 20 April 2015 and 12 February 2016. Owners of the affected cars will be contacted by authorized dealerships in the coming days. In a press statement issued by the company, it said,“Service Campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may potentially cause inconvenience to customers.” This recall covers both the 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine variants. Maruti S Cross Price in India
The S-Cross is positioned at the pricier end of Maruti’s product portfolio and is priced between the INR 8.34-13.74 lakhs price bracket. Dealerships have started accepting bookings for an amount ranging from INR 20,000-25,000. Full ex-showroom, New Delhi price list:

Maruti S Cross Specifications
Powering the car is a Fiat sourced 1.6-litre, in-line four cylinder diesel engine that has a maximum power of 120 PS and a peak torque of as much as 320 Nm. Also available is the tried and tested 90 PS 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine that powers the Ciaz. While the bigger diesel motor here gets a 6-speed manual transmission, the smaller engine will come with a 5-speed manual unit. The India-spec model misses out on the “Allgrip” AWD system. Also, the car boasts of disc brakes on all four wheels!

The interior of the car gets a black theme with silver appliques. Also, the upcoming car’s cabin shares many parts with the Swift and the Ciaz. However, the quality and fit and finish of the interiors is very impressive and better than any other Maruti product we have seen in recent times.
