In an intriguing case, a Maruti Omni has been converted into a cafe. We keep coming across innovative ideas all the time. The culture of food trucks and food stalls inside cars is gaining popularity in our country. This has been a particularly growing trend in the last couple of years. While there are a lot of street vendors who use beaten old cars to sell food and drinks out of, another business idea revolves around a more premium version of the same concept. People spend some money to customize the vehicle to sell food from. However, this latest instance is a prime example to experience how far things have come. Let us take a look at the details here.

Maruti Omni Converted into a Cafe
This post comes from spoonofflavours and maplepods on Instagram. Essentially, the company that has devised this enticing configuration is Maplepods. As per the description of this post, this is Noida’s first car cafe. It is located at House of Migo, Sector 143, Noida. The entire exterior has been updated with new paint and body graphics. There is also subtle lighting and a drawer to keep your shoes in before entering the cabin. Its side-opening doors lend well to offer a traditional approach of entering into a cafe. Once inside, the decorations and seating arrangement are aimed at utilizing the space fully.

There is a table at the centre and two bench seats on either side. As a matter of fact, this van can accommodate 4 people at once. There is a large TV screen inside which takes care of the entertainment of the visitors. It also has a bell which the customers can use to order food. The privacy is at the core of this setup. The occupants can also alter the lights inside the cabin as per their mood. In fact, the interior consists of premium and comfortable materials to ensure a wonderful experience. Currently, this Omni is only available in Noida. If this concept receives success, we might see such vans sprouting up all over the country.

I really like the interior setting of this cafe inside a Maruti Omni van. The Omni has been reeling under the image of being the kidnappers’ car as seen in many Bollywood movies. A contemporary overhaul like this could really help improve that image. Apart from the movies, people have always used Omni for multiple applications. Its cabin layout lends itself well to come up with unique use cases. The only concern with scaling this model would be the lack of availability of Omni vans since the model is now discontinued. In any case, let us not jump the gun and relish the excitement of this unique experiment for now.
