Digital automobile designers have a way of uniquely applying their creativity, leading to the inception of unprecedented automobiles.
This digital illustration of a Maruti Land Cruiser 300 LXi is unlike anything you’ll ever see. Maruti Suzuki is the largest carmaker in the country since forever. Its trims are designated using monikers like LXi. It established a joint venture with Toyota in 2017. Since then, the two Japanese auto giants have worked in tandem to deliver some unique products in India and abroad. They borrow models and technology to benefit from the synergy. However, this is what the result looks like when a digital artist considers the JV.

This digital rendering has been conceptualized by an unknown artist. But it is doing rounds on social media. It captures a unique take on the iconic Land Cruiser SUV. In fact, there is a unique blend of the older version of the Land Cruiser and the new design language of Maruti Suzuki. As a result, we have an SUV with a large grille at the front like we’ve seen on the Land Cruisers over the years but with a Suzuki badge. It is flanked by basic-looking headlamps with integrated turn indicators and a rugged bumper.

Moving onto the sides reveals a basic design theme that is devoid of any characteristic creases and curves. The door panels are quite butch and sturdy as seen in vehicles from decades ago, the B and C pillars are blacked out, there is a hint of roof rails, the wheel arches are quite pronounced, there are black side body claddings and one also sees steel wheels that remind us of the decades gone by. This is a typical trait of the SUVs from yesteryears.

The tail section of the SUV is, unfortunately, not visible in this rendition. All in all, this unique iteration encapsulates the perfect blend of the true strengths of Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Although the sketch is quite raw, the attention to detail is worth appreciating. As automobile enthusiasts, we love to see digital artists display their creativity in such a way that we witness something unique and fresh.
