Maruti Jimny, Gypsy and Mahindra Thar are the most prominent off-roading vehicles in the affordable segment of the market. Note that the Gypsy is no longer available. In fact, it was the second-gen model of the Jimny which now finds itself in its fourth generation. For the Indian market, the Jimny is available in a 5-door guise for the first time ever. As a result, it offers loads of practicality in addition to rugged off-roading characteristics. On the other hand, Thar is the most successful off-roading SUV in the country ever since its inception. Let us take a look at how these three perform in this latest challenge.

These tracks are quite uneven, perfect to test the wheel articulation of any car. In the first couple of attempts, the SUV struggled to climb the incline. It is due to the fact that the vlogger was not forcing it by driving faster. That could easily lead to damage the underbody. Instead, in fact, they decided to make it crawl using the hardware on offer. Finally, it was able to climb to the top without any real struggles. There was a brief moment when it beached. What We Think
We love such real-life tests of SUVs in their natural habitat. However, we won’t recommend this to anyone. The reason is quite simple. There are high chances of damaging vehicles in such environments. If it is your personal car, the repair costs could be expensive. Moreover, there could even be permanent damage to some components. Therefore, it is great to witness the capabilities of these SUVs online and not jeopardise damaging your personal vehicle. Also, these YouTubers take a lot of precautions behind the camera. Therefore, you must not blindly mimic them.
