In a bizarre off-roading adventure, a Maruti Jimny tries to tow a Mahindra Thar. The location is quite isolated and the owners were trying to drive the SUVs in water. Both these SUVs are among the most capable and successful products in the segment. Note that Maruti Jimny has just launched a couple of months ago. It is for the first time ever that there is a 5-door variant of it. This is the 4th-gen model of the Jimny. It is a popular lightweight off-roader in the international market. On the other hand, Thar has been the most successful off-roading SUV in India since its inception years ago. Let us take a look at the details of an off-road battle between these two.

Maruti Jimny Rescues Mahindra Thar
This video comes from BRH Expeditions on YouTube. The YouTuber takes his Jimny to an off-roading location. There is a Thar in the group as well. The team of vloggers decided to do a face-off. The location is quite extreme with no dirt roads in sight. Moreover, they drive the SUVs in a water stream. They have been at this place previously as well. This time around, they take these SUVs across various surfaces with inclines and descents. Both Jimny and Thar perform quite well. But the final part of the video takes place inside this water stream.

The Jimny makes its way through deep water quite effortlessly. There were multiple people inside the SUV. After crossing the water stream, it was Thar’s turn. It began slowly but got stuck while reaching the end. The driver tried everything he could to make sure that the SUV kept moving. But it got stuck pretty bad. The Jimny was then used to tow the Thar. But it couldn’t. Finally, a tractor had to be called to pull the SUV out of the water. It took a while before the tractor could tow the Thar away as well. Nonetheless, the vehicle was out of the water. Unfortunately, its engine got seized after being inside the water for a prolonged period of time.

We can’t stress enough on the fact that this is an utterly stupid activity. Off-roading SUVs are designed to take the owners to far-flung areas. But that should not be an excuse to abuse them. Purposely putting these SUVs in such hopeless situations is an invitation to trouble. Things could go wrong quite easily. For instance, the engine of the Thar stopped working here. It could even lead to long-term damage to the components. Hence, we advise our readers to never imitate such videos on YouTube. The price you might have to end up paying could be huge.
