Digital artists have a knack for creating strange iterations of mass-market cars and this latest case is a prime example of that
In this latest instance, a prominent digital artist has devised a pickup truck iteration of the famed Maruti Jimny. Jimny is one of the most popular lightweight off-roading SUVs on the planet. In fact, we can trace its history back to over 5 decades ago. All these years, it has been a successful product for the Japanese auto giant across various international markets. However, in its current iteration in India, it is the first time ever in its lifecycle that we received a practical 5-door version. The aim is to cater to a wide range of customers. For now, let us delve deep into the specifics of this case.
Maruti Jimny Pickup Truck Imagined
This beautiful rendition stems from Theottle on YouTube. This channel keeps churning out enticing avatars of popular vehicles. On this occasion, the artist has chosen the Maruti Jimny. What I particularly like about this illustration is that the artist has not gone overboard with modifications. In fact, he has kept everything basic and simply added the rear section with a cargo bed to lend it that typical pickup truck appearance. Apart from that, I also like the sturdy alloy wheels with gun metal grey paint and off-roading-focused high-profile tyres.
The side section even contains a solid skirting to enhance the adventurous traits of the lightweight off-roader. Also, the front fascia looks stock with minimal tweaks to the grille section and the bumper design. Interestingly, even the 5-door configuration remains unaltered and the cargo bed has simply been slapped at the rear. The tailgate reads Suzuki and the compact taillamps are reminiscent of many famous pickup trucks. The lack of bling accentuates the practicality of this rendition. All in all, this has to be among the most sophisticated digital concepts of the Maruti Jimny I have come across in recent times.
My View
I love to explore such creative imagination of popular digital artists. They offer us opportunities to experience a mass-market vehicle in a different light altogether. This results in expanding our horizons and giving us new perspectives. Although I don’t recommend it, it can also give some ideas about real-life modifications to your cars. However, remember that most car customizations are illegal in India. Therefore, make sure to consult your local RTO about which mods are allowed. In any case, I shall keep bringing our readers more such intriguing conceptualizations of popular cars.
