Maruti Jimny launch is just around the corner and it looks like the final road testing is on in many parts of the country.
Maruti Jimny was seen in the mountains around Shimla in the trademark Nexa blue colour. We have seen this colour getting mega-popular in other Nexa products including Baleno and Ignis. Now, Maruti will try to leverage that charm of the Nexa colour with the upcoming Jimny as well. The Jimny was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi but the launch has eluded us until now. Nevertheless, we have seen it in flesh multiple times now which means that it will be arriving at the showrooms pretty soon.

Maruti Jimny in Nexa Blue Colour
The video has been uploaded as YouTube Shorts by Raftaar 7811. The title of the video informs that the waiting period for the Maruti Jimny will be over 1 year which is understandable. Also, the video captures the SUV in its trademark Nexa blue paint shade which is bound to get popular. The final product looks to have a great road presence due to the fact that it is a practical 5-door version which is larger in dimensions than the regular 3-door model that has been on sale in many international markets for a long time.

Maruti Jimny will rival the likes of the mighty Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha in our market at launch. However, both of these companies are in the process of launching the 5-door versions of these SUVs as well. Hence, until that happens, Jimny will have a lead in the market for being the first 5-door affordable off-roading SUV. Once the other two arrive, the competition will get stiff and the potential buyers will get a lot more options to choose from.

Specs
The upcoming Maruti Jimny will come powered by a familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine that develops a healthy 104.8 PS and 134.2 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. However, what concerns most people will be the Maruti Suzuki’s trademark ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 drivetrain with a low-range transfer case which will propel the SUV to traverse over any sort of terrain. The ground clearance is a healthy 210 mm. The prices will be announced at launch and would determine the success of the SUV.
