This is an exciting winter expedition of the Maruti Jimny in Pin Valley in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh in thick snow. The valley is one of the coldest regions in the country. The winters are particularly extreme with temperatures dipping down up to 30 degrees below 0. In the last few years, it has become quite common for off-road enthusiasts to take their vehicles to such winter expeditions. As the off-roading technology gets better with time, people often embark on treacherous terrains to test their driving skills and the capabilities of their vehicles. Let us take a look at one such case here.

Maruti Jimny in Snow in Spiti
This video comes from BRH Expeditions on YouTube. It captures the entire journey of the Jimny owners to Mud Village in Pin Valley in Spiti. It is one of the most scenic drives in the country. However, during the winter, the roads are closed for months. This makes it a perfect destination for hardcore off-roading enthusiasts with years of experience under their belts. Hence, we don’t recommend anyone to indulge in such activities for the sake of your own safety, as well as the safety of the vehicle. This is particularly true for all those who have no prior experience of driving in snow. It requires a completely different skill set.
The Jimny in this video seems to be doing pretty well on the snow-clad trail. The driver is patiently traversing across the white blanket of snow. The roads are anyway narrow in this area. But these become almost invisible due to heavy snow. Still, the Jimny performs well. In fact, at one point in the journey, a Honda Captiva was spotted stuck in the snow. The Jimny is able to retrieve it using a towing hook. All in all, the Jimny lives up to its reputation of being one of the most impressive lightweight off-roaders in the world.

Author’s Note
We emphatically recommend that our readers steer clear of such activities under any circumstances. Driving in snow demands a unique set of skills. Although off-roading SUVs are designed to tackle rugged terrain, this doesn’t excuse their misuse. Intentionally putting these vehicles through strenuous situations invites trouble, greatly heightening the risk of accidents. While some YouTubers may engage in stunts for personal entertainment or to garner views, it’s not a behaviour we should emulate. Let’s prioritize responsible driving and abstain from attempting anything of this sort.
