As you can see in the images above, the Boujan Yep shamelessly borrows from the Suzuki Jimny three-door and even the Ford Bronco. Previously, it was spotted with camouflage. In terms of dimensions, the upcoming EV measures 3,381mm in length, 1,685mm in width, and 1,721mm in height. It weighs only 1,006 kg and comes with a 2,110mm wheelbase. The single electric motor on the Boujan Yep is mounted on the rear.
While the technical specifications of the upcoming car are not public yet, it is said to be an all-electric vehicle with no Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). The Boujan Yep EV comes with a lithium-ion phosphate battery that will offer a certified range of 303 km on a full charge. It will output 68 PS of maximum power and 140 Nm of peak torque. SAIC has developed the new EV in partnership with General Motors and Wuling. Interestingly, SAIC is also the parent company of MG Motors which is also planning to bring a new electric car to India called Comet EV.

Chinese manufacturers are notorious for violating copyright boundaries within China. They have produced many car models that are direct rip-offs of popular international models. Most of these cars are sold in the domestic market only. However, they have also been selling cheap knockoff versions of bikes like Bajaj Pulsar, KTM Duke, and Yamaha R3 in countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh. On the positive side, many big brands have taken inspiration from Chinese design tweaks as well. Also, the Chinese court ordered Jiangling to cease sales of the Landwind X7 SUV (Land Rover Range Rover Evoque knockoff) immediately and pay compensation to Jaguar Land Rover.
