These visuals showcase the 2025 Toyota FJ Cruiser derived from a Maruti Jimny by a prominent digital artist. It is common for these artists to implement their creativity to combine two vehicles to come up with an enticing mashup. The FJ Cruiser and Jimny are both lightweight off-roading machines. Hence, it makes sense to connect them somehow. FJ Cruiser is an iconic retro-styled SUV which was in production between 2006 and 2022. On the other hand, the Maruti Jimny is a legendary SUV which has been in production for over 5 decades. For now, let us take a look at the details of this unique digital illustration.
2025 Toyota FJ Cruiser Based on Maruti Jimny
The visuals for this concept stem from SRK Designs on YouTube. It is a popular channel which compiles various iterations of regular cars. On this occasion, we have the FJ Cruiser which resembles the Suzuki Jimny by wearing its demeanour. At the front, we get to witness the iconic round headlamps along with Toyota lettering in between, a rectangular grille section, a clamshell bonnet and a sturdy bumper with fog lamps and a skid plate. On the sides, the two-door layout becomes apparent. We get to experience the colossal wheel arches with matte black cladding which accentuate the road presence and SUV-ish nature of the vehicle.
I like the colossal alloy wheels which fill those huge wheel arches well. There is even a tiny side step to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics for the passengers. At the rear, this SUV gets an upright stance and the rear window might be fixed. In all honesty, if we hide the logo, it would be difficult to ascertain whether this is an FJ Cruiser or Jimny. That is a testament to the talent of the artist who has been able to capture and blend the essence of the two SUVs so seamlessly.
Our View
I appreciate such thoughtful virtual renditions by talented artists. There were reports recently that suggested that Maruti Suzuki won’t give the Jimny to Toyota under their joint venture which often brings forth badge-engineered products. In such a scenario, something like this would fill that void in Toyota perfectly. I understand that the FJ Cruiser is no longer on sale currently, but that is the beauty of the digital realm. It is not bound by physical limitations. Hence, we can imagine these two lightweight off-roading SUVs together. I wish to keep coming across more such compelling projects.
