The street presence of the 5-door Maruti Jimny was revealed recently. Jimny took a long time coming to our market due to various reasons. Nevertheless, what matters is the fact that it is here now and ready to compete against the domination of the Mahindra Thar. On the other hand, Mahindra is also preparing the 5-door version of the Thar to further established its hold on the market. Therefore, it would be a great battle between these two in the times to come. Force Gurkha 5-door could also play spoilsport in this party.

Maruti Jimny 5-door Street Presence
The video clip has been uploaded by amn1050 as YouTube Shorts. It captures Jimny doing rounds on the road in Gurgaon. The details of what kind of event it was are not available. Nevertheless, we see the Jimny in its full glory travelling on the road with other cars. Once the video captures the side profile of the SUV, the sheer size of it becomes apparent. The chunky wheel arches are quite prominent and enhance the side profile of the Jimny a lot.

We had already posted a video of the interior of the new Jimny. The increased length has definitely contributed a lot to the overall room inside the cabin. The rear passengers have decent legroom and headroom in this 5-door version. Moreover, there will also be a useable boot compartment accentuating the practicality of the SUV. The 1.2-tonne Maruti Jimny comes powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine that develops a cool 104.8 PS and 134.2 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties are a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. But the main attraction of the Jimny is the ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 drivetrain that comes with a low-range transfer case. The ground clearance is a decent 210 mm and the front and rear suspension system is the 3-link rigid axle with coil spring suited for off-roading.
