This video comes from MRD Cars on YouTube. It captures the team with the two SUVs. They are tying them together from the rear using the tow hooks. In the first round, they decide to use the 4 x 2 configuration in the Jimny. The result was a stalemate. They did the tug of war again in the same configuration. Both cars refused to give up. Unfortunately, there was smoke coming out of the engine of the Jimny. That is when they decided to call off the race. Hence, there was no competition in the 4 x 4 set-up.

What We Think
Many YouTubers use tug of war as a common practice to determine a car’s power, but we want to emphasize that it’s not the ideal way to assess vehicle capabilities. In fact, such activities could cause long-term harm to the vehicles, impacting their mechanicals significantly. In the video, both cars emitted smoke, which might have been from the tyres or even the engine. Therefore, attempting such acts is not advisable if you care about your car’s well-being.
