This video compares Maruti Grand Vitara base trim and Brezza ZXi to determine which is the more VFM. It must be noted that the Grand Vitara is the Creta-rivalling mid-size SUV, while the Brezza is the Venue-rivalling compact SUV. There is a difference between the overall size and space outside and inside but the powertrains are largely the same. However, there is a difference between the mileage figures of the two. Maruti Grand Vitara vs Brezza – VFM
The video comes from Anubhav Chauhan who shows both the SUVs side by side. At first glance, the base model of the Grand Vitara is looks like it’s in the top trim. The only difference is the halogen projector headlamps instead of the LED projector units in the Brezza. The wheel size is 17-inch steel wheels on the Grand Vitara and 16-inch alloys on the Brezza. Both SUVs don’t have auto-folding ORVMs or fog lamps. At the rear, the Brezza has the rear wiper but the Grand Vitara doesn’t. Brezza also has LED taillamps, while the Grand Vitara has halogen units.

On the inside, the Vitara ZXi comes with many features. These include a push button start/stop function, auto AC, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, part-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls with Cruise Control, soft-touch fabric on door trims and a sunroof. On the other hand, the Grand Vitara base model misses out many of these. There is no touchscreen, but has the same instrument panel, AC, steering-mounted control on one side, tilt and telescopic steering, no sunroof, no sunglass holder, etc.

When it comes to features, the Brezza is slightly more packed. However, the overall dimensions and space is more in the Grand Vitara. The Brezza ZXi costs around Rs 12.45 lakh, while the Grand Vitara costs Rs 12 lakh, on-road. For the extra Rs 45,000, you could get the infotainment system and a few required accessories to suit your needs, mentions the YouTuber. Moreover, both these SUVs come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild hybrid setup. The motor develops 103 hp and 137 Nm of peak power and torque. Which option would you opt for?
