We have encountered countless crashes of test drive vehicles due to various reasons and this is yet another addition to that list.
A video that was uploaded recently talks about a Maruti Grand Vitara that crashed while on a test drive. We have previously reported tons of accidents when people are test-driving vehicles. For some reason, people end up driving the showroom cars with extreme aggression thinking that this is a free car and they can do whatever they wish. But that is not prudent and could land you in trouble within no time. That is exactly what transpired here. Check out the details of this entire saga here.

However, a mini-truck appeared in front of the SUV and the driver applied the brakes forcefully. But the SUV skidded somehow and ended up colliding with the mini-truck. Because the speed was so high, the entire front right side of the SUV sustained severe damage. This includes a deformed bumper, headlights, fender, grille, tyre, bonnet, etc. Thankfully, no one got seriously injured in this crash as the side pillars were able to absorb the impact quite well.

Damages Worth Rs 1.4 Lakh
After the assessment, the dealership estimated that it would cost around Rs 1.4 lakh to repair the SUV. However, they asked the man who was test-driving the SUV to pay this amount. Generally, the showroom cars are the dealership’s responsibility. Therefore, it seems unfair that the one test-driving it had to pay for the crash. Netizens are also mentioning that it was the dealership staff who encouraged the driver to overspeed in a bid to sell the car. In any case, we can only suggest our readers never get involved in high-speed scenarios and stay safe.
