New variants of the Maruti Fronx have been launched with added safety kit. Fronx is a crossover SUV which is based on the Baleno premium hatchback. It comes with multiple powertrain options to cater to a wide range of audiences. Maruti Suzuki is not known for offering cars with high safety ratings. In order to work on that, it is now offering more safety features in its products. For instance, the new Swift now gets 6 airbags across the range. Similarly, the new Delta Plus (O) variant of the Fronx also gets 6 airbags. This trim comes with a manual, as well as an automatic transmission. Let us take a look at the details of this new trim.
Maruti Fronx Delta Plus (O)
The new Delta Plus (O) variant of the Maruti Fronx has been launched at a price of Rs 8.93 lakh, ex-showroom. This model can also be paired to an AMT gearbox which costs Rs 9.43 lakh, ex-showroom. In addition to offering 6 airbags in this trim, the new variants also get a tyre puncture repair kit instead of a spare wheel. This trim is available at a premium of just Rs 15,000 over the standard Delta Plus trim. That makes it great value for money to get the safety of 6 airbags instead of just 2 in the Delta Plus variant. Now, only the Sigma range remains with just two airbags. That is a step in the right direction as more customers get access to 6 airbags. Also, these new variants are solely available with the 1.2-litre trim and not the 1.0-litre turbo version.
