In a latest case, a Maruti Fronx was involved in a crash demonstrating strong build quality. Fronx is a crossover hatchback based on the mighty popular Baleno. It offers slightly more premium features and the option of selecting either a peppy turbo petrol engine or a naturally aspirated mill. These are the main attractions of the Fronx. However, it has not been crash-tested yet. For now, let us take a look at the details of this recent crash where its strength was put to the test.
Maruti Fronx Crash Shows Build Quality
This video comes from Vikas Sharma on YouTube. The host narrates an accident of the Fronx. As per the information in the video, the driver of the car with the dashcam is evidently driving in the right lane behind a truck. Suddenly, an overspeeding Fronx tries to overtake this vehicle from the left side. Unfortunately, a dog appears in front of it. In order to prevent hitting it, the driver of the Fronx steered to his right. As a result, it ended up hitting this other car and toppling over.
We can see in the visuals that the Fronx rolled over on its side for some distance before coming to a halt on the side of the road. The details about the condition of the occupants are unknown. However, we are able to experience the damage to the car. Surprisingly, the left side of the vehicle, which was in contact with the road, sustained relatively minor damage. In fact, it looks like a case where a car merely bruises another car from the side. Apart from some moderate scratches on the door panels and a broken ORVM, there are no other major issues with the vehicle.
Our View
Now while this is a clear case of great performance by the Maruti Fronx in terms of build quality, we can’t make any judgements based on isolated incidents. Also, to know the build quality of any car, we must solely rely on the official crash test safety ratings from NCAP. I urge our readers to not jump to any conclusions from any incidents showcased online. We can’t know the full story. Sure, it could give us some hints. But that is about it.
