Maruti Fronx Reaches North America
As per the details on this report, someone drove this made-in-India Fronx from Tijuana in Mexico to Los Angeles in the USA. The total distance between the two cities is just around 250 km. Note that Maruti Suzuki exports Indian cars to Mexico. Hence, this Fronx bears the Mexican registration plate. Still, it was being driven in the streets of Los Angeles. Apart from visiting the local touristic and prominent places and locations, the owner also took it out on a highway for a brief drive. Now while the Indian model is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, this Mexican version carries the larger 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol mill which powers the Brezza and Grand Vitara in India. It generates a decent 103 hp and 137 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by either a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. We are not sure about which trim this is. In India, it retails from Rs 7.51 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh, ex-showroom.
