While the exact reason for the crash has not been ascertained, we can conclude that the bus must’ve braked suddenly and the driver of the Ertiga was unable to react quickly enough. As a result, the MPV bumped into the rear end of the bus. Talking about the damage, Ertiga has sustained quite a heavy impact. The entire front section has been affected including the bumper, headlights, side fenders, bonnet, and radiator grille and the impact has even caused the engine bay to get deformed. Surely, there must be damage to some of the engine components.

As far as the injuries to the occupants are concerned, the MPV was able to save all its passengers. The visuals show that the airbags were deployed which must have saved the front passengers from getting injuries due to the sudden impact. Also, the side pillars were able to absorb the impact quite well as seen in the video. That prevented the impact from getting inside the cabin.
