The Maruti Dzire VXi trim has been thoroughly detailed in this latest walkaround video. Dzire is the highest-selling sedan in the country. Having been around since 2008, it still commands immense popularity today. On top of that, the largest carmaker in the country has updated it significantly for its current 4th-generation model. This includes aesthetics, mechanical features, and most importantly, safety upgrades. Hence, it will be interesting to see the kind of impact it will have on the consumers.

At the front, it gets a gloss panel between the halogen projector headlamps, a massive radiator grille and a sporty bumper. On the sides, it boasts 14-inch wheels with grey wheel covers, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs along with black side pillars. At the rear, there is a shark fin antenna, arrow-inspired LED taillamps connected by a chrome strip, integrated boot lid spoiler and a solid bumper.
On the inside, the Maruti Dzire VXi comes with tons of modern-age features. This includes rear defogger, fabric element on door panels, 4-speaker audio system, dual-tone colour theme on dashboard and door panels, 6 airbags, steering-mounted controls, height adjustable driver’s seat, analogue dials with MID, digital AC, tilt steering adjustment, Smart StudioPro connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, textured dashboard, manual IRVM, USB charging, adjustable rear headrests, a rear armrest and more. One aspect which remains unchanged across the variant lineup of the Maruti Dzire is the powertrain. It borrows the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid technology from the Swift. This generates a healthy 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The mileage figures are 24.79 km/l with the manual and 25.71 km/l with the AMT. Apart from that, there is also a CNG mill on offer which is good for 70 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. It is available with a sole 5-speed manual gearbox and offers a mileage of 33.73 km/kg. This VXi model bears a price tag of Rs 7.79 lakh, ex-showroom.
