Digital artists have a knack for creating impressive iterations of mass market cars
In this post, I am describing a digital concept of the Maruti Dzire. In recent times, I have experienced tons of virtual renditions of prominent vehicles. Dzire is the most successful sedan in India. First launched in 2008, it is currently in its 4th-generation avatar. However, the demand for the car, despite stiff competition, has been at close to an all-time high. In the latest version, it offers an unprecedented 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. For now, let us glance at the details of this digital illustration.
Maruti Dzire Digital Concept
We are able to experience this rendition courtesy of bimbledesigns on Instagram. This is a prominent artist who comes up with enticing and unique iterations of mass market cars. This time around, he created a Dzire with racing car elements. At the front, the striking LED DRLs integrated inside the headlamps look aggressive. Apart from that, the chrome belt running across the face of the vehicle also brings out a premium appeal. In between, the massive grille incorporates a sporty appearance while the massive black housings on either side of the bumper represent an imposing road presence.
However, the artist takes things to a whole new level once you glance at the sides. The entire profile is covered in prominent body graphics and massive alloy wheels. These contain low-profile tyres, something we see on racing cars. Also, the low-slung stance is indicative of that as well. I like the slightly extended front and rear fenders, which makes it look broad. Finally, completing the look at the back, we have a colossal wing to enhance the aerodynamics. Overall, the vehicle certainly looks totally different from the stock version.
Specs
The Maruti Dzire comes with an immensely efficient and frugal powertrain. This means a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid technology which outputs a decent 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Performing the transmission duties is either a 5-speed manual in the base version and a 5-speed AMT. However, the biggest talking point has to be the class-leading mileage of 24.79 km/l with the manual and 25.71 km/l with the AMT. The prices range from Rs 6.84 lakh to Rs 10.19 lakh, ex-showroom.
