This time around, another tragic case has emerged from Deogarh district in Odisha. As per the information in the video, four people were travelling in a Maruti Dzire on the highway. Suddenly, for some reason, the driver had to stop. There was a speeding truck behind it. It was not able to react quickly enough and ended up hitting the sedan from behind with huge force.

Unfortunately, the driver and the co-driver succumbed to the injuries on the spot and lost their lives. The rear passengers have been hospitalized and are in a serious condition. Reportedly, the front passengers were not wearing seatbelts. That could be the major reason for their demise. The condition of the vehicle is quite horrifying. The entire rear section has been completely destroyed. It looks compressed. One can’t even make out where the boot compartment was. Furthermore, there are damages to the side sections too. Just the front section remains intact.

We lose lakhs of lives in road accidents each year. Most of these crashes take place due to the drivers not following traffic regulations.
