Maruti Suzuki plans to boost up the sales of their 1.3L diesel engine by offering an extended warranty as a party pack to the new customers.
Marui Suzuki now offers a total of 60 months or 1,00,000 kms warranty on their 1.3L diesel engine which comes on Swift, Dzire, S Cross and Brezza. The scheme is available for new buyers and can be availed at any dealerships without any extra cost.
Earlier Maruti offered a total of 2 years/40000 km warranty on the 1.3L diesel engine but just ahead of BS6 emission norms, the manufacturers are offering an extended warranty at no extra cost.
Maruti Suzuki plans to discontinue their diesel engines from their lineup post BS6 and will only rely on the sales of petrol cars. That said, the company is also planning to bring a petrol model to their much popular compact SUV, Vitara Vrezza by next year. However, Maruti may bring the diesel engine back if only there are sufficient demands but that will only see the higher capacity motor which is the inhouse 1.5L.
