New Maruti Celerio Limited Edition Launched

After launching new variants in the Baleno and Ignis lineup, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL), the most popular car manufacturer in India, has come up with a new limited edition of the Celerio hatchback. The new Maruti Celerio Limited Edition 2017 model is available in VXi and ZXi trims and comes with a set of accessories to enhance its exterior and interior styling. Prices of the 2017 Celerio Limited Edition start at Rs 4.87 lakh (on-road Delhi). The latest special edition of Maruti’s lower-B segment hatchback is available with a petrol engine only. The Diesel engine variant of this car was reportedly discontinued earlier this year.

The latest limited edition of the Celerio comes at a time when the hatchback has been facing a lot of heat from cars like the Tata Tiago and top-end Reault Kwid 1.0. It’s being said that the company will launch a facelift of this car later this year to make this car appealing. The limited edition should help the car find more takers until the advent of this facelift.

Maruti Celerio Limited Edition Price

The latest Maruti Celerio Limited Edition is basically the same old car that now comes with an accessory pack. Other than the inclusion of these accessories, there is no change in the styling of this car. Of course, even the specifications remain entirely the same. The cost of these accessories is Rs 19,989, but the limited edition gets you all the visual add-ons for just Rs 11,990. Based on the VXi and ZXi trims, the special model has an on-road price of Rs 4.87 lakh in Delhi.

Exterior- Body graphics, body side molding, window visors, chrome accent on boot lid, headlight, taillight, chrome surrounds for fog lamps.

Interior- New upholstery, new steering wheel cover, ambient lighting, tissue box, rear parking sensors.

Maruti Celerio Limited Edition 2017 – Specifications

Like we told you, the new model is available with a petrol engine only. The Diesel variant of this car was discontinued earlier this year. The petrol engine for this car is the very peppy and refined (for a 3 banger) K10B 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine that outputs a max. power of 67 BHP and a peak torque of 90 Nm. This engine can also run on CNG. However, the CNG-compatible engine has a lower max. power of 58 BHP and a peak torque of only 78 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed Manual and a 5-speed AMT (Petrol only). In terms of specifications, there’s really no change in the limited edition.

Maruti Celerio Limited Edition 2017 – Mileage

As there is no change in the engine specifications, there’s also no change in the mileage, too. The petrol model offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 20.36 KMPL. The CNG model offers an average mileage of 31.79 KM/KG.

Maruti Celerio Limited Edition 2017 – Exterior and Interior

As we’ve been saying, the 2017 Celerio Limited Edition doesn’t bring any changes in the design or styling. Instead, Maruti has tried to enhance the visual appeal of the car by offering an accessories kit. On the outside, the limited edition model gets many chrome appliques. Thanks to an average Indian car buyer’s affinity for chrome, these chrome bits should make the car more attractive, or at least so Maruti thinks. Other than the chrome highlights that the car gets on its bootlid, foglamp housings, headlamp and taillamp, the car also gets body graphics, body side molding and window visors.

Coming to the interior of the car, the new limited edition offers a new seat upholstery, a new seat cover, a tissue box that fits into one of the cup holders and ambient lighting. Other than all the features on the regular VXi and ZXi trim, the limited edition also offers you rear parking sensors.
