In a new drag race, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza went against the Tata Nexon sub-compact SUV. The results are surprising.
The Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market. It directly competes with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza in the sub-compact SUV segment which came out on top last month. Recently, the two cars competed against each other in a drag race. This video was shared by ‘Charlie Vlogs’ on their YouTube channel. The Petrol-Manual variants of the Tata Nexon and Brezza 2022 were used in the competition. It led to surprising results. Let’s take a closer look!

Drag Between Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza
As you can see in the above video, the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza VXi variant went against the stock version of the Tata Nexon Jet Edition. Before the race starts, the drivers decide to turn off the traction control and air conditioner. Additionally, both cars are kept in sports mode. Once the race starts, the Maruti Brezza took an aggressive start and left a massive gap which the Tata Nexon struggled to match. The same thing happens in the second race and Brezza leaves the Nexon in the dust.

The driving conditions were changed before the third race. The drivers decide to keep the air conditioners ON and avoid an aggressive launch. However, there was not any significant difference in the results. The Maruti Brezza came out as the winner by a huge margin. In the fourth race, both cars kept the traction control ON. Still, the Nexon was left behind. Finally, the drivers attempt a rolling race. In the first attempt, the Brezza won by a larger margin. In the second attempt, the Tata Nexon gets a jump start but still lost.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza VXi variant is powered by a 1.5L mild hybrid naturally aspirated engine that offers 102 bhp of peak power and 138 Nm of max torque. It comes with manual transmission. Additionally, the mild hybrid system increases fuel efficiency. The Tata Nexon Jet Edition is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged engine that offers 118 bhp of peak power and 170 Nm of max torque. It is paired with manual transmission. As the drag race results indicate, the Maruti Brezza is more powerful than the Nexon SUV.
