Author’s Note
The compact SUV segment has been growing rapidly in India in the last few years. People get the option to buy an SUV without having to deploy huge capital investments. Also, since these are under 4 m in length, they are perfect even for crowded city driving and parking. Despite being relatively compact in dimensions, the upright stance, large boot compartment, high seating position, high ground clearance, etc are some of the main reasons that draw new customers in. We reckon this trend is likely to continue and even more players are prepping to enter this space including Skoda.
