The Maruti Brezza CNG variants have started reaching the dealerships and it arrives just when the Tata Nexon CNG was being prepared for launch
In the latest video, the CNG version of the Maruti Brezza compact SUV has been fully leaked. This makes it the sole SUV to come with a factory-fitted CNG kit in India. With the shooting fuel prices, people are having to look elsewhere to create solutions. In big cities, the infrastructure around CNG is well-developed. Therefore, people can purchase CNG cars which is also the reason why the demand and sales of CNG cars have increased in the last couple of years. Now, the Brezza CNG has started arriving at the dealerships. Interestingly, the CNG version of the popular sub-4-metre SUV comes just before the Tata Nexon CNG.

Maruti Brezza CNG Leaked
This video clip has been shared by Real Gaadi on YouTube. It captures the new Brezza CNG parked at the stockyard to be taken to the dealerships at the launch. The official date of launch has not been shared by Maruti Suzuki. But by the looks of things, we can expect it to occur anytime now. The visuals from the outside will be identical to the regular model. The only thing that will give away the CNG credentials will be the badging that we have seen on the other Maruti CNG cars as well.

Benefits of CNG
CNG powertrains offer great mileage resulting in low running costs. This is especially true with the current surge in petrol and diesel prices. In big cities, there is no issue with the availability of CNG stations either. There are no modifications needed to even retrofit the CNG kit in a car. One still has the option of driving it on petrol when needed. Finally, the initial price difference between the petrol and CNG model is not all that high. Moreover, it gets compensated as the running costs are low. It must be noted that the Tata Nexon has been giving the Brezza a tough time on the sales charts. In such a scenario, launching the CNG version before its rival could actually help Brezza establish a stronger foothold.

Specs
While there have not been any official announcements from Maruti Suzuki, we can expect it to carry the same CNG powertrain that is available in the Ertiga CNG. This means that the 1.5-litre engine will output 87 hp instead of 103 hp in the regular form. That is a compromise that buyers have to make with the CNG versions. Also, the other big compromise comes in the form of little boot space due to the CNG cylinder fitted there. The premium in terms of cost could be anywhere between Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Currently, the Brezza is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.96 lakh, ex-showroom.
